Voices are globally rising to defend women’s rights and combat violence, injustice, and discrimination. You will be able to hear some of these voices in our new podcast: Nos voix féministes (Our feminist voices).
In partnership with Binge Audio, this podcast will talk about various issues in contemporary feminist struggles and the mobilization of associations. From Lebanon to Madagascar, including Mauritania, Togo, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nos voix féministes tells the journey of seasoned activists who all fight to defend their rights.
GIVING THE FLOOR TO GRASSROOTS ACTIVISTS
Through five episodes, journalist Inès Guiza shares the testimonies of fifteen feminist activists, women who are working daily to advance equality. Each one embodies a grassroots voice.
They discuss the specificities of their living contexts and the actions they undertake with their associations. In each episode, their words and experiences will intersect. Through their stories, you’ll be privileged witnesses to the struggles animating these convinced and committed activists.
The first episode will address menstrual precarity, a scourge affecting over 500 million women and girls worldwide. Discover the testimonies of Amandine Yao from the Gouttes Rouges association based in Côte d’Ivoire, Zo Rakotomalala from the My Period Station association in Madagascar, and Dieynaba N’diom, a member of the Initiative for Reproductive Health in Mauritania.
Nos voix féministes is coming out soon! The podcast will be available on all streaming platforms. Follow us on social media to stay tuned and learn about the upcoming topics!
