Feminists in Action commissioned Groupe Egaé to conduct a study on the state of the feminist movement in the programme’s countries of intervention. The study reveals a significant gap between available funding and the real needs of feminist organisations.
Existing funding is limited, difficult to access – especially for smaller organisations – and often poorly adapted to local realities. It is also burdened by heavy administrative requirements. While the situation remains worrying for women’s rights, the study also highlights the vitality and growing influence of feminist movements.
More than ever, these organisations need support for their core operations and projects so they can strengthen their structure, develop sustainably, and preserve their autonomy.
